Frayer model is one of strategies to increasing vocabulary.
This model combines four strategies in one way.
They are picture of vocabulary,
definition of vocabulary,
example of vocabulary and non-example of vocabulary
strategy.
This model is useful for beginner who does not understand at all
about the language that they want to learn.
Human known language by see and
feel the word from the things
(verb, adjective, adverb and so on),
that is why
we can understand well our mother language
because we learn by doing (see and
feel the vocabulary means).
We start with understand the word not with
memorizing the word.
This model supports us to learning vocabulary by four
combinations of strategies. Picture bellow is the example.
